Default One Big Bet For Sunday

DETROIT/ATLANTA UNDER 41

Do a little research and you will find that both of these teams have addressed their defensive woes this year. The current line at 41 is indicative of how much your bookie relies on last years power ratings. Anything above 38 here is erroneous, and the line opened at 45

In four preseason games, the Lions allowed only 32 points!!

Another one I found while checking the stats on this one is

Philadelphia -8.5
and Philly under 44

looks good but I am still looking for an indicator on the coaches commentary or something to spring the pick. I think this is going to be a big blow out.

Yup Bobby

I'm finished with Philadelphia's game, lay the points, it's going to be a blow out.

I was looking at the line movement and wondering WTF? Checked it out, here's what they are looking at: DeSean Jackson is starting at WR for Philadelphia he was a second round pick this year and he has impressed everyone during preseason. He's so fast you don't even see him moving. It's blurry.

last couple of years rookie draft picks starting in week one have been big winners
Calvin Johnson Detroit
Sidney Rice Minnesota
Cadillac Williams Tampa Bay
etc.
there might be more

The point spread is just right too. 7 point favorite in week one vs. non divisional opponent also a hot system of late.

No indicator on the Philadelphia point total (going under) so I will have to pass on it.

nflman,

I agree with your take on Jackson for Philly he is really quick and the Eagles should make quick work of the Rams. I like the fact that you take pre-season into account when you make your selections. Keep an eye on Tampa Bay, they had a very solid preseason leading in defense and in rushing (second in passing). The fact that they are dogs and they have been playing well to me makes them very appealing.

Good Luck this week and this season!

Desean Jackson was my sleeper WR pick this year. Got him late and starting him right out of the gates. Reports are good on him and Mcnabb working together
