I don't think so, but I can tell you that setting the line on the games yourself (before the book) has more value during the preseason than during the regular season or playoffs for that matter. False favorites according to the Las Vegas oddsmakers (opening lines) are something to beware of during preseason.
2007 exhibition games for example:
Week 3 of the preseason...
Baltimore -3 at Washington, the Redskins won 13-7
Cincinnati -3 at Atlanta, the Falcons won 24-19
Dallas -3 at Houston, the Texans won 28-16
San Diego -3 at Arizona, the Cards covered 31-33
Week 4 of preseason...
Baltimore -3.5 at Atlanta, the Falcons won 13-10
Dallas -3 at Minnesota, the Vikings won 23-14 |
