Texas Tech was ranked til mid September while Minnesota is off a lukewarm
6-6 campaign.
We are keying in on Texas Tech simply having a superior passing game that
should exploit A Minnesota pass coverage that allowed 235 ypg in passing.
And Minnesota faces an offensive juggernaut led by one of the top passers in
the nation.
Texas Tech's Graham Harrell 2nd in the country with 35 td passes.
Harrell runs a Red Raiders offense that has put up an average of 440 yards
per game in the Air!. Minnesota threw for almost half the yardage per game as Texas Tech
with just over 217., But did have double the Red Raiders production on the ground.
Minnesota is just that much weaker though..their defense is their Achilles
heel surrendering 24.5 points per game and over 400 total ypg avg. ..Gophers really weak
against both the pass and run and TT's pass attack should kill them.
Plus Minnesota's offense not helped out by having lost tight end Matt Spaeth
Their alltime leader in receptions to shoulder surgery.
Look for a superior Texas Tech to roll up the points in the air.
