Default GY week ~3~

We'll start off with a simple one on Thursday.

There's been a pretty recent rivalry between these two teams, but it always seems like one team is good and the other is not for each season, so no big upsets. This time it's WVa's turn to be good. I saw this game open at 14 and then quickly jump to 15.5 and now I finally caught it at 15.

Some factors going into this game: WVa home game means WVa crowd...... I don't know if you know WVa's atmosphere, but it's just plain scary and nasty. They've got a lot to prove in the Big East and also a national title to contend for. Rodriguez does not go easy on teams so this is going to be a blow out. Watch for crazy plays through out the game, this team is fun to watch. Maryland's previous games have been just awful offensively and it's amazing they can even win the games they have been.

bet:
WVa -15 over Maryland (wish I caught it at 14, but what the heck).

This is just the beginning - GL to you all on week 3!~

Cheers
-GY

+7 Michigan over ND

Yup, I'm calling the upset here. Notre Dame is probably pretty fired up after the beating up PSU, but I feel like they're going to let it go to their heads and let the defense slip up (this was probably a result of the poor performance against GTech the week earlier). Michigan has not been tested yet and will probably get pumped up. This rivalry's pretty intense and I think Michigan will play hard after some adjustments. Prepare for this game to be determined within 3 points or less.

early line was actually -20 on this game...but down to 15 by the time we got it...so 15 is a value for sure. i am gonna lay off this one. just a quick look...but i can only find 2 games in the last 3 years maryland has lost by more than 15 points...both to va tech. they always seem to be bad on o...but somehow they are in every game they play...dont ask me how because i have lost a lot of money betting against them. if i was gonna bet i would have to go with you on w virginia...but maryland stays in games to the end and funny things happen in weeknight games. hope you are right on the michigan game bro...one of my least favorite teams is notre dame...and i am tired of all the hype and nonstop coverage they are getting. every year the media picks their "baby" and then dedicates half of almost every sports show on tv to that team. this year it seems to be the irish.

So I looked over this week's games and I decided to try to play some of my thoughts after 2 weeks have gone by. My thoughts have been for the most part correct, hopefully this will not kill my season, but I feel pretty confident.

here's the games I added

**Arizona St -11
**Fresno St -3.5

These two games are my more confident picks. The discussion is mainly in bigdaddyrich's thread so I won't say too much here, except that I agree :P

**Kansas St -10.5
Marshall has been horrible this year - getting blown out by WVa and giving up 31 points to a DI-AA school, so I don't think this one will be close at all. Feel pretty good about this one.

**Boise St-7
Wyoming's played a close game with Virginia, but it was apparent that there was no offense. Boise's going to come in and just have their way with this team. I actually bought half a point just to be safe, but I think it's unnecessary. I thought Boise would be a bit worse than last year but it looks like they have same high octane offense that I really enjoy watching. Wyoming will probably keep it close the first half but then... Boise will rock them.

**+4.5 Clemson
Man, I tried not betting this, but after watching Clemson play last week and knowing their previous season - these guys just play close games. I'm hoping for the upset here because FSU keeps beating down my hokies This will be a defensive battle so pretty low scoring. My confidence isn't too high here, but enough for me to make a play.

**Washington St -13.5
Baylor is a joke...if WashingtonSt does not win at home by more than 2 TDs, this really makes Pac10 a joke. WashingtonSt at home has done always well, so it seems like the crowd is a huge factor here. However I'm unsure if WSU is going to give up points at the end. They typically have good offense and had a rocky start with playing Auburn, but they rebounded against Idaho which they easily covered (I just recall Idaho being people's strong play last week). They'll do it again here.

**Missouri -13
New Mexico is a joke and they also screwed me last week...as I'm still bitter. Then I look at the fact they lost to div 1AA as well. Missouri had a nice convincing win over Ole Miss and have another very very easy one over NM. High confidence here.

**North Texas +20
Man, I played a lot of favorites....so here's one for the mix. I have no clue what vegas was thinking when the line is at 20. Obviously they know something, but I'm going to try and not be fooled. Is North Texas this terrible or Tulsa that good? I just don't picture this game to be decided by 3 TDs or more. This could easily be a shootout tho, as neither defense looks spectacular. This is mainly one I wouldn't play but again, I said I would play my thoughts this week and here it is.

Extra thoughts:
This weekend looks like a bunch of upsets are in the making. I see LSU, Tennessee, Clemson, Michigan, Oregon winning their games. Of course these are looks so I'm not betting them. But I definitely would be not surprised if all them happened. But we'll see, week 3's got a lot of football.

GL to all on week 3!

I'll add plays if lines move to where I want them or if iI will some early

I didn't watch the game as I was out, but I kept calling my friend who had a computer in front of him. Man 28-0 in the first quarter

Although the last half definitely was scary...GL to you bigdaddyrich too.

I got 9 more games to roll through

I'm agree with you, kinda...

Michigan hasn't played to their normal level.

I don't know if that's because they have been looking ahead, but besides the running game, the passing games has been plauged by drops and bad route running. A general lack of concentration.

You can't do that vs ND!

I think Im going to jump on this as well and I hope the "Mays and Blue" brings its "A" game. I won't call the outright upset and I know both teams will move the ball. I believe when firing on all cylinders Michigan has a better offense.

Ya, it's going to be a scary game. It looks like the public is agreeing as the spread is going down to 4.5 at some places.....

As long as Michigan doesn't royally mess up, this should be a very tight game. I've watched Michigan play the first week and didn't see flashy things, but at the same thing I didn't see horrendous things. If they can get a good running game and control that clock, Michigan can pull this off! However, Weiss is quite good with doing this as well...as shown in the Pats I'm hoping for the rivalry juices to flow here, giving good motivation.

Cheers
