oh...that is cool bro. i was just saying that i dont really get caught up in which conference is tougher than another. i love the big 12...but i know it is down lately. in my opinion the sec is the toughest by a mile...but it doesnt really matter to me. i so wanted to bet auburn...and might still without posting it...but it scares me. that line under 3 tds is like the linesmakers are asking us to bet on auburn so they get action on them before the big boys unload late. i could be way wrong...but i just watch for those games and try to stay off. georgia is another one like that. oregon is prolly a good bet...but i need to see more of both teams. from what i have read fresno is really stacked up this year...tho i didnt really see it against nevada. good luck with both of those...and i might be cussing auburn with you before it is all said and done...haha.

said i wasnt...but gonna go ahead and paly small tonight. learned a long time ago to either bet on boise at home...or dont bet the game at all. i think that 8 point line was just begging us to please bet on oregon state...and since it is down i would assume people have done just that. gonna go the other way and take boise -7.5 for a small wager. not real big on this game...but what the hell.

I have to agree, Cal is loaded on offense. Defense like any pac-10 team is always suspect. But again I have never seen a good defense out of Minne either.

That said Cal has to redeem themselves this week. Its better to lose in week 1 than any other week because you can olny go up with so much football left.

I personally dont know if anyone can go undefeated this year the way things stackup. Ok maybe a Big East Team.

Minne will run into a buzz saw this week playing at Cal. Going to hit this one of the first half as well, grabbing its now @7.5 and buying it to 7 @DSI

gonna go ahead and try this like my boy does it this week. making 5 strong plays...and then betting half as much as i do on the top 5 on 5 smaller plays that i liked but wasnt gonna pull the trigger on. will just count em all as wins or losses in this forum...no units or anything. kinda worried this week because i am on 90% favorites...which is almost never a good thing. far more than 9 favs will end up covering this weekend...so lets hope i have chosen the right ones.

strong bets:

cal -8...pod
stanford -8
colorado +120
lsu -15
indiana +3.5

smaller plays:

texas tech -7: another week for leach to get those young kids comfortable in his system...tho they didnt do too bad week 1. just dont think the utep team i watched week 1 can keep up for 4 quarters.

oklahoma -16: another favorable spread for oklahoma...based on a bad game last week. based solely on talent level this is the best value this week...i mean oklahoma was ranked +1 in the nation by several publications i read preseason before the bomar deal. thompson is a smart qb...and stoops will get it through his head that he doesnt have to win the game...just dont lose it. if this happens this week then oklahoma blows them up.

virginia tech -12.5: liked what i saw last week of this team...tho they had some holes to fill. they are 2 tds better than nc on the road...but we will see if the young guys step it up a notch in unfriendly territory.

wake -19.5: duke looked bad...and most likely goes 0-for this year. dont even need to look much at wake to say this game should be a rout...just hoping i dont get hosed by garbage scores late.

oklahoma state -14: once again...based on talent alone this is a value. i follow my boys very closely...but rarely bet on them. ostate qb is a star that just hasnt lived up to the hype as of yet...but actually showed some of that promise last week. if he plays well again then ostate rolls these boys hard...and if not they are still big enough to run it down their throat and wear them down and most likely cover anyways. special teams also looked very good last week. out-manned in the big 12 for the most part this year without some serious improvement...but asu is not big 12 and could be a laugher.

I like most of your plays. But I got a bad feeling on the VT game I'd like the Hokies to blow UNC out but I think they won't cover this time.... UNC is such an underrated team, even though they lost to Rutgers - they'll make adjustments in preparation for VT. Although I do agree, VT looked sooo good

I'm curious if Oklahoma will come out early instead of relying on Peterson late in the game, but this is what adjustments are all about.

I really like TexasTech too......i'm tempted..

every single time i have bet on pitt the last few years they have humiliated themselves...and me. so we will try it a little different and bet against them...even tho i think they are 8 points better than cincy. looking around the net i see a ton of people on pitt in this game...and a lot of people saying it looks easy. no other reasons that i am on cincy other than bucking the trend...i swore off betting on them ever again after the ohio game last year...and looking to even my record going into what should be a good weekend. got blasted on non-saturday games week 1...and i hate posting a losing record. it will not be losing after the weekend anyways...but lets see if i can hit 500 tonight...lol. very, very, very small bet on cincy +8. ugly ass boring game of missed scoring chances and fgs keeps cincy in it...i hope.
