1. Florida Gators—the Gators keep winning ugly but Vanderbilt may have showed a way for other teams to beat the Gators. They stuffed the run and made Tebow throw. This is no secret but this year it looks like a big weak spot.

2. Alabama Crimson Tide—Alabama came back in the second half and after plenty of mistakes and they took down LSU. Other experts are considering them to be the best team in the country but I won’t jump them to #1 just yet. The SEC Championship game will decide that fate.

3. Texas Longhorns—The Longhorns played Central Florida. While this is not a huge challenge for the Longhorns I do have to appreciate the fact that they have yet to have letdown this year against some of the lesser teams. If they go undefeated and win the Big 12 Championship they deserve to play for it all.

4. Cincinnati Bearcats—The Bearcats started off with a trouncing of the Huskies. Then they left the door open and the Huskies cam roaring back in the second half. The Bearcats gave up over 700 yards of offense but still move to #4 with losses all over the country.

5. TCU Horned Frogs—the Horned Frogs won again and they have one of the best defensive players in the country in Jerry Hughes. They did not play the best opposition but if they go undefeated they get the nod over Boise St in the rankings. They still have a game against Utah that will decide if they belong.

6. Boise St—the broncos rolled again but the opponents are enough to make all the pollsters yawn. The rest of the schedule is a cake walk and almost embarrassing. I have to hand it to Boise though this week they offered to go on the road anywhere in the country and play, so far no takers.

7. Georgia Tech—the Yellow jackets needed overtime to get a win over poor Wake Forest, a team that seems to blow a lead every week. Georgia Tech is poised to play for the ACC Championship game and make a run at a solid BCS spot.

8. LSU Tigers—the Tigers lost to one of the best teams in the country on the road. Although they had a shot of taking this team down after leading at the half I don’t think they should be punished for losing at Alabama.

9. Iowa Hawkeyes—the dream season is over for the Hawkeyes but they are still the best team in the Big Ten. If they can rebound with a big win against Ohio St they will still capture the Big Ten and get to a BCS bowl.

10. Oregon Ducks-the Ducks had a very big hangover after hammering USC. The defense was trounced by Stanford who was in full control of this game from start to finish. With two losses this ten spot is officially up for grabs in the rankings.

I like OSU to beat Iowa......

I think Cincy is in trouble against Pitt in the coming weeks. Cincy has a challenging stretch of games that started this week. They can't look ahead to Pitt with WVU and even Illinois playing well over the past 2 weeks.

think TCU should be ahead of Cin
