Raptors = Flu Bug The Toronto Raptors are facing elimination tonight and their starting point guard won’t be at full strength for the game. T.J. Ford did not practice yesterday because of the flu.
“He’s sick, he hadn’t eaten in three days, he came in and I sent him home,” Raptors coach Sam Mitchell told the Toronto Star.
Asked if Ford’s health was a concern heading into Game 5 against the New Jersey Nets, Mitchell gave an honest answer.
“I would think so, if I’ve got to send him home the day before the elimination game,” Mitchell told reporters.
Ford is averaging 18.5 points so far this postseason. If Ford isn’t able to play or is limited, Jose Calderon will handle the point for the Raptors.
Oddsmakers have the Raptors listed as 4-point favorites with the total set at 190 for tonight’s game.
