Post 2005 NBA FINALS, GAME 1: A Beautiful Game of Ugly Basketball
If the final score -- San Antonio 84, Detroit 69 -- is all you know about Game 1 of the 2005 NBA Finals, please don't draw any conclusions. This was no double-digit romp at home by the Spurs. It was no ponderous exhibition of plodding, unappealing basketball. And it was certainly no excuse to justify writing off the NBA Finals.
