Nba Pod Rules

Contest is Free to participate, but you must do the following:

1. Post 3x a week in the Forums
2. Have an account @ Diamond (DSI) Sportsbook - If you dont have one please signup if you do, to help support the forum I ask you resignup through our link. With each deposit you will get a better bonus than if you did not signup through BTB. DSI also has a great poker room and since I am sponsoring this as of right now it makes it easy for me.
3. Send me your DSI account # to ryan@bangthebook.com, I will keep them all in a seperate email folder so I dont have to chase anyone down.

Prizes
1st place $100 if less than 10 players $150 if more
2nd place $50 less than 10 players $75 if more.
Winnings must be rolled over 4x

1st and 2nd place winners of each month will also be allowed to participate in a NBA playoff POD.

Best overall record will as well if they dont ever win a month. This will be one prize TBD

NBA Totals and spreads only NO ML.

Times will be forum stamped if it is after the listed start time even by a minute its void.

DO NOT EDIT your post. Repost and state the correction. If you re-post later than the game original pick stays.

If anything else arises I will make judgement at that time and it will be final.

GIGEM will be doing the scoring.

The last week if the contest is close all are welcome to send me there plays and I will post them later. Email Timestamp will be used. This will avoid any advantage of seeing someone elses play.

Two quick questions... You have to have 3 posts a week that are in the NBA/CB forums, excluding other forums such as NFL, CF, or NHL, correct?

Is the scoring going to be the same as last year? +1 point for picking a winner ATS, -2 for any loss, and +4 for picking a dog outright to win that is at least +4.5 ATS? or are we doing just a normal, +1 for winning ATS and -1 for losing ATS?

Oops it will be any forum for the posts. But they have to be quality posts! plays knowledge etc just not "good luck" etc...

Dog outright win +4

dont u think dog outright win +4 is little to high? I think it should be the same. Cause either way your playing the spread. If not might as well just use money line

I think its Month. I think outright win is too high as well. If you wanted to do that then do ML.

i think win is +1 for every game and loss is -1.1 is much better

i think this should be fine it has worked the previous years fine and it makes for a great race to the finsh...good luck everyone

I played in the contest last year and the scoring actually went like this.
+2 points for a win
-3 points for a loss
and +4 points if a dog wins who's spread is +4 or higher

Hope that helps with the underdog controversy
