Pod Contest Rules

Starting today in a separate thread I will make a PICK OF THE DAY Contest.
Join whenever you please. At the end of each month I will crown the person with the highest point total that months champion.

Points are earned by picking a winner in the following:

Winner: 2
Underdog Straight Up Winner(Must pick to win,no taking points): 4
Loss: -3
NO TOTAL BETTING

Minimum of 15 picks/month to qualify for that months final standings.

Pick must be accompanied by the spread unless you are picking an underdog to win Straight Up.

Use whatever book you want to for the line but if it is questioned be prepared to tell us where you got it.

New rule has just been added to the contest. IF THE UNDERDOG YOU ARE PICKING TO WIN OUTRIGHT IS LESS THAN A 3.5 point dog, you DO NOT GET THE BONUS. You will simply get 2 points for a correct pick. So if it is less than 4 you might as well lay the points instead of picking them to win outright.

I will also keep track of and periodically post the season standing which of course we will then crown 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in. In order to claim 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the season contest you must meet the pick minimum in at least 2 months.


Winner of each month gets a trophy for their signature and now thanks to Ryan(bangthebook Owner), the following prizes will be offered up for deposit into a sportsbook you have signed up for through Bangthebook.com


END OF SEASON:
TBD- depends on participants the more the better!

Each Monthly winner gets:
1st gets $100 @ BTB sponsor
2nd gets $50 @ BTB sponsor
A free entry into The Playoff Contest for cash prizes. TBD

Tiebreaker-Whoever made the most picks that month or whoever made the most picks this season.
If there is a tie for first in any one month both players get an entry to the Playoff Contest.

I am going to start posting picks on this website and i am changing sportsbookis i was going to go to vipsportsbook throught this site so i guess i just mention this site for referal when signing up also what do yoy think of that sportsbook they looked to have a good signup bonuses and had a loyalty program. Will this sportsbook qualify me for picks of the month if i get the correct picks?

BRS does the scoring and if he doesnt mind than we can add totals next month. Rules cant be changed at the end of the month sorry SFA.

Too much fluctuation and too many books to use totals for our contest. Too many variables making it so people picking the under at 8:00 AM could win as well as people on the over later on at 4:00 PM. I vote...NO TOTALS
