Can the pistons do it?

I caught a glimpse on the four letter network, of a graphic, they were talking about the Pistons trying to match the Bulls of whatever year, trying to attain was it 72? wins? does anyone feel they can pull it off? I really don't know what I feel, I have only recently started following the NBA a lot more, but a long way to go. anyhow, I do have a $200 future on the pistons repeating. Any thoughts are appreciated.

If anyone can pull that record off it is this Piston team. I love the NBA and am an avid fan of the game and follow it religiously. This Piston team is one of the better teams I have seen of late and although most do not like to admit it I credit the hiring of Flip Saunders with the improved play of this team. They of course have always been a great team, but Flip has implemented his offensive scheme and the Pistons are loving it. It is also making Billups look like a solid MVP candidate. I would not bet on them breaking the record just because there are too many X factors like injuries and resting players with what will be a very early clinch of the division.

Well if you go simply by the numbers they certainly have a chance a beating the 72-10 record Chicago had. 35-5...is basically half way there obviously. As for them doing it....who knows. I have a feeling the East is going to get progressively better as the year goes by so that may make it a little tougher on them but if I had to guess I would say they win at least 70. I hope they don't do it. I'm a Pacers fan and there is nobody in the league I hate more than Ben Wallace.
