Default Yao out for next year!
It was announced on Yahoo sports that Yao Ming will most likely miss the entire season and perhaps even longer. Yap fractured his foot and it has not healed properly. When it comes to big men in the NBA feet and knees injuries can spell the end of a career. Just ask the likes of Bill Walton and Sam Bowie. The Rockets have to seriously consider starting over. Tracy McGrady is full of injuries and is carrying around a huge contract and now it would seem that Yao is lost. With the draft behind them it looks as though it can be a long season for the Rockets and their fan base.
