 NBA Draft Prop (I Really Like)
I have been looking over the NBA Draft props and three really stick out in my mind.
First, I am putting a good chunk on Derrick Rose to go #1. In my opinion, it's 99% that this is going to happen. He's the hometown kid, a point guard with once in fifteen years athletic ability, and Paxson even hinted at it earlier in the week.
Odds: 1:7 (so the odds are bad, but to me this is guranteed money)
Second, I am putting money on Michael Beasley to go #2. I know all the recent speculation is that the Heat like Mayo or Bayless better. But, the reality of the situation is that both of those players are going to be available at lower picks, so look for Riley and the Heat to deal this pick (and possibly Marion) to a team intent on drafting Beasley.
Odds: 7:2 great odds for a guy to go second who was considered the surefire #1 just a month ago
Lastly, I saw a prop that was based on who would be drafted first: Brook Lopez or Kevin Love.
Odds were (Love -170, Lopez +135).
I'm on Lopez here as I would suspect that teams would be more likely to take an athletic 7 footer than a guy who is 6'8 and with questionable athletic ability. |
