Not the wisest choice to go against Boston at home knowing the refs would be there to help but it looked to easy to take Boston. Oh well...win some and lose some.

I think the smart money has to be on the Lakers in Game 3. I know it looks like Boston has all the momentum, and this series could be in the bag early. Yet, I want to remind everyone of the general trend that we have seen in the playoffs. Teams have been taking care of business at home, sometimes in a blowout fashion, only to have the lower seeded team come back strong in Games 3 and 4. Expect no different in tonight's affair.

I decided to say f*ck it...big game for Kobe/Odom/Gasol to try forcing a game 7. LA hasn't proved much besides the fact that they can blow big leads time after time but either way they have been able to get those leads. The refs have called the last couple of games fairly even and if that carries over it will play in the favor of the Lakers. Kobe will get his fair share of FT's by driving to the hoop if this game is called even and the Lakers should keep it close in the end. Boston may be the better team overall but I can't see them covering all 6 games...probably going against everyone on the forums. I either double up for the playoffs or break even. |

Lol...not a good idea. Finished even for the playoffs but learned quite a bit for next year so I won't make the same mistakes.

Well, it was a profitable finals experience for me. Obviously, Boston proved to be the better team, and I had a hunch that they were going to pull this series out from the get go. So, I cashed in a nice series bet (taking Boston to win the series at +170). Also, I made some money throughout the series by betting Boston in individual games. The books just gave the Lakers too much respect even as they faltered early in the series. Expecting the Lakers to win by 8 points at home, and offering the game at pretty much even money in Boston allowed me to cash in. I had a hunch (i was pretty unsure) that Boston was the team to take going into the series. Always follow your intuition.

I definitely learned that Smart Guy...I let the line scare me away thinking it was too easy to take Boston in those games. Congrats on making some bank. I had the Celts for the series but hedged it off to lock in profit when LA hit +150.
