Cavs have travel trouble

The Cleveland Cavaliers were supposed to fly to Orlando last night following an embarrassing 113-83 loss to the Nuggets, but mechanical problems with the team plane delayed the flight until this morning.

The Cavs are expected to arrive in Orlando sometime this afternoon ahead of tonight’s 7 p.m. tip with the Magic. Cleveland opened as a 4-point underdog at some online books, but that line jumped to +8 ½ by mid-morning.


It’s just another example of bad fortune for the Cavs, who may also be forced to add two more names to their ever-growing injury report.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas (hip) and Damon Jones (ankle) were injured against the Nuggets and they will be re-evaluated today before the game. Cleveland is already without Daniel Gibson, Drew Gooden, Sasha Pavlovic and Anderson Varejao.

Oddsmakers have set tonight’s total at 196 points.

I think this is huge. With all of the injuries to this cavs team the replacements are really gonna miss the usual warm up time before the game. They will come out really shaky

Yes. Cleveland has been shaky all year. I think they might be on of the most up and down teams in the league. They have some big wins against some of the league's elite, but have coughed some games up against less than mediocre competition. Because you just never know what LeBron's supporting cast is going to provide, I bet against the Cavs and their bloated value.
