I am happy with my first night back. I went 2-1, picking up one unit. I won both my favorite plays and dropped my underdog play. A winning night is a winning night and that is what I have done most of the year, just chipped away with small winning nights. It all adds up. Here is what I have come up with for Tuesday.
Arizona -105 vs Dodgers………I am taking Arizona for much of the same reasons as I did last night, except don’t have to face Brad Penny this time. I lost last night, but this one should be a winner. I will gladly take the first place diamondbacks at home at this price. Just some simple common sense in this one.
San Francisco -119 vs San Diego…………..Even though San Fran is in last place, they are a respectable 19-18 at home this year. We get Mr Zito on the hill vs old man Wells on the road. Big pitching advantage for the Giants in this one, so I will go with the home team here.
Phillies -134 vs Cincinnati…………Another common sense play here. Phils rookie Kendrick has had two decent starts so far this year and I think he is going to fill in nicely for the injured phillies starters. He might not shut you down, but I think he is capable of keeping you in the ball game. Many people do not realize this, but the reds have the worst record in baseball. I did not realize they were that bad. There rookie pitcher is not bad himself, but I will take the phillies bats over the reds bats any day of the week. I think Ryan Howard is due to go deep as well tonight. Nice value with the second place phillies tonight. As a phillies fan, it feels good to say that as we have moved ahead of the braves and we have the mets at home for four games this weekend.
Not going to push my luck and only play these three favorites. I feel pretty good and I don’t see me going worse than 2-1 tonight and that would be a small profit.
