Dodgers at Marlins -125
We are going to go with the Marlins in this one. It has the makings of a very close game so we will go with the home team at this very low price. The Fish have gone 12-10 against right handers, which bests their overall percentage. They are hitting a reasonable .272 against righties and scoring a little more than 5 runs per outing. Willis's sharp 5-1 record is questionable as his era is quite high. Bu the Marlins have been scoring runs for him. The Dodgers are 5-4 against lefties, a lower percentage than their overall mark. They are hitting .264 against the port siders and scoring a little less than 5 runs per outing. Tomko's situation is just the opposite of Willis, as his 0-3 record doesn't seem to account for an era under 4. Plus Tomko has a nice record versus the Fish, but those wins occurred in 2004 and 2005, enough history to pay no attention. The Dodgers will not put any fear into the Marlin hearts and the dramatic victory can only serve to help the Floridians win this game. Look for Willis to toss a good game - good enough for a Marline win. |
