Tigers - 1.5 (RL) vs Angels

This is more of a bet against Saunders and his 12.66 ERA over his last three and his 9.36 road ERA than anything, but we still have other stats that tell us the Tigers will take this one tonight. Verlander's home ERA is still 3.09 and the Tigers are hitting the ball much better as of late also. The Tigers are crushing lefties at a .302 rate and are managing to get right at six runs across the plate against lefties. Verlander tries to end his skid at Comerica Park, where he has won seven straight decisions. He is 8-2 with a 3.09 ERA in 12 home games this season, and has allowed just two runs in 28 innings to win his last four starts there. Saunders allowed eight runs, seven hits -- including three home runs -- and three walks in just 2 1-3 innings of a 11-8 loss to the Yankees on Sunday. If Saunders continues his current form, I feel we have more than a fair advantage to win this one with the Tigers tonight.
