Hit both three unit plays again last night. This might be my high point for the season so far and that amazes me when I consider how bad I was before the allstar break. Guess I am just getting lucky.
Angels -130 vs Seattle (3 units)
..Seattle won last night, but they still suck. I am glad they won, it may have brought todays line down a little. Weaver finally lost a game, but he is still awesome this year. Even with the loss he is 2-1, with an era of 0.95 his last three starts. In addition to that he is 2-0, with an era of 0.64 vs Seattle this year. How can you pass up numbers like that, I cannot. I think we are getting a very fair price with Weaver and the Angels tonight vs a not so good Seattle club.
Phillies -154 vs Washington (3 units)
..I am hoping that the Phillies little mini losing streak is over. They have not played well this past week, but I am not shocked, the games were in Philly. Despite them playing well since the trade deadline, they continue to lose at home. They are under 500 at home. I do not think there is as much pressure on them on the road and it lets does not inhibit their talent. Washington not playing well at all and I think they have all but given up. They can score some runs though, but I see Myers throwing a pretty good game tonight and his team will score plenty enough for him to get the win.
Texas -164 vs Baltimore (2 units)
Baltimore has been able to string some wins together recently, but they have been at home. I am not all that impressed with the Os to start with, let alone the Os on the road. This is another one that I have to go with some history of the Texas pitcher. Millwood this year against the Os is 2-0, with an era of 1.80. We all know Texas can put some runs up at home, so combine that with Millwoods success vs Baltimore this year, and I think we have another winner.
Cincinnati +133 vs Dodgers (2 units)
My only loser last night was with the reds and I am coming right back with them again tonight. They still lead the wildcard despite the little losing streak they are on. The dodgers are back home again and winning again, but these reds need a win. I know they can hit the ball and I think they have the pitching advantage as well tonight. My gut tells me they are going to score some runs tonight. They are due for one of those games. Getting them as a decent sized dogs also helps.
Pittsburgh +127 vs Cubs (1 unit)
Not a great feeling here, but I do like it, so only one unit on this one. I hate going against the Cubs pitcher tonight because he is so good, but the bucs play half decent ball at home and they are the dog. The bucs might have the worst record in the nl, but the cubs are right there with them having the second worse record in the league. I just smell a pirate win tonight.
San Diego -117 vs Arizona (1 unit)
..I have been taking Young of the Padres almost every time out. He had a stretch at one point this year where he was knittable and for some reason that sticks in my mind. I have won more than I have lost with him and I will probably stick with him the rest of the year. Pads also only a half game out of the wild card race too, so every game is important for here on out.
That is all for today. Time to look over some college football games for Thursday. In addition to my baseball picks tomorrow, I will be posting my first college football picks.
I am not betting anymore preseason football this year. The last week is a joke. I finished the preseason at 24-18 (+4.54 units). It is not much, but it got my feet wet and I did not lose. Cant ask for much more than that with games that dont even count.
