Greetings to all,

Computer crashed and took forever to fix it. When they finally fixed it, RR server was down for three days. All is fixed now and now to business at hand.

Padres vs Diamond Backs Under 8.5

Webb likes the confines of his own home sporting a nice 2.79 ERA in Dodger Land. Don't forget also that the Padres still aren't hitting the ball well only averaging .237 behind the plate against righties over their last ten. Woody Williams struggled early in the year, but he has looked more like the Williams of old since coming off of the disabled List. He has an excellent 2.49 ERA over his last three outings, and he has seven Quality Starts in his last 10 appearances. Perhaps most importantly Williams is a perfect 10 for 10 in Quality Starts in his last 10 starts vs. Arizona, including two outings this season! He is also backed by a San Diego bullpen that ranks fourth in the Major Leagues in pen ERA, which should keep the scoring down even further. Brandon Webb has been terrific all year, going 13-5 with an outstanding 2.99 ERA. As good as those numbers are, he has actually been even better here at home where he is 7-1 with a 2.79 ERA in 11 home starts covering 80 2/3 innings. He is also in revenge mode after these Padres roughed him up for five runs on 10 hits in six innings the last time he faced them, but he had three consecutive Quality Starts against San Diego prior to that so we are looking for a nice effort tonight.
