Very good night last night going 4-2. Won both 3 units plays, both 2 unit plays and lost both 1 unit plays. Part of me wants to stop playing bases right now and concentrate on football, but if I keep doing this well, why stop. Onto Sunday's card...
phillies -168 vs cincinnati (3 units)..................After splitting the first two games with the reds, this is a must for the phllies. They don't want to fall back 4 games to the reds. We got Brett Myers pitching who has been their ace this year against Milton who used to pitch for the phillies. If I recall he used to give up alot of long balls. Phlis are swinging the bats very well right now. Between that, Myers pitching and how important this game is, is just all adds up to a win in my book. Not crazy about laying the 168, but I really think it is a winner.
minnesota -143 vs toronto (3 units)...........I lost again with the twins at home last night and I am coming right back with them again today. Pretty much the same reasoning. Radke throwing today, that helps. Twins too good at home to lose another one to these jays, at least I hope.
st louis -116 vs pittsburgh (2 units)...........What is going on with these cards losing to the pirates again. I thought it might happen with weaver pitching yesterday. I really think the odds are in favor of the cards to take this one. I cannot pass up a team like the cards vs a team like the pirates at this small cost. Win or lose, no regrets...I have to take it.
dodgers -104 vs san fran (2 units).............I don't care who is pitching vs the dodgers right now, I am not going to pass them up in the midst of this winning streak. I know Schmidt is throwing for the giants, and it won't be easy, but give me the dodgers in a nearly pickem game at home. I am going to keep riding this team until they start losing.
mets -122 vs washington (1 unit).........Not in love with this game, but this is the mets year, at least in the regular season and they just have steamrolled over the nl east this year. Might as well take them again at these low odds.
colorado -148 vs cubs (1 unit).........The rockies continue to play decent ball and are in the hunt for the wild card. This cubs team is just a mess, always has been, always will it seems. This team always underachieves. I think they are going to let Dusty Baker finish out the year and then fire him. This is a small play on the rockies, but more of a play against the cubs.
