Default friday bases

0-2 (-9.12 units) yesterday
68-55 (+18.94 units) overall

Only had two plays yesterday, but they were both for four units each and they both went down. That makes three straight losing days for me. I can feel the tide turning and it is not in my favor. I am sort of glad football starts this weekend even if it is just preseason. Lets try this one more time.

mets -147 vs phillies (3 units)................The mets seem to save their best baseball for teams that are trying to catch them. They put the braves in their place a couple of weekends ago, and something tells me they are going to cool off these phillies. Randy Wolf makes his second start in over a year. The last time the offense bailed him out and he got a no decision. My gut tells me he gives up alot of runs tonight against that met offense. I think the phils are also going to score as well, just not as many as the mets. I just see a 9-6, 8-5 type of game tonight.

over 9.5 (+106) mets/phillies (3 units).............I normally do not play totals because I suck at them, but the way the phils are hitting the ball and Randy Wolf coming back from a severe injury vs those mets bats, I see double digits in this game easy. I can see some homeruns hit tonight for some reason...maybe like four of them.

cincinnati -132 vs atlanta (2 units).............I have been riding the reds since the allstar break and have picked winners, but it might be time to get off of them, but I am too stubborn to do it tonight. They are at home and need a win in the worst way and I think they will get it. If they lose tonight, do I double up tomorrow or give up on them? Guess I will find out tomorrow. Sometimes I have the habit of riding a team during a losing streak thinking they cannot lose again or if I don't play them they will finally win. How many of you have done that before? I know you all have. We are gamblers, that is what we do.

arizona +115 vs houston (2 units)............Zona now tied with the reds for the wild card. Oswalt not the pitcher this year he has been the past two seasons and I am not afraid to go against him. Hard to pass up this home dog.

toronto -152 vs white sox (1 unit)...........This is simply a play on Halladay...end of story. Sometimes a pick can be that simple and this is one of those plays.

detroit -151 vs cleveland (1 unit).............Cleveland playing much better as of late, I know because I have been going against them during my mini losing streak. Now they are at detroit who has been the surprise of mlb this season. I see some value getting bonderman at home as a medium priced favorite, but only playing this for one unit.

I hope I do a little better tonight. I missed the first game today and probably a good thing as the pirates are leading at the cubs 4-0 in the fifth. I probably would have played the runline in that one.

Good Luck everybody!!
