Default 2nd half of season

Is the 2nd half of the season supposed to somewhat harder to predict? Do teams and players normally go through major transitions to make it to the playoffs with effective results?

I ask because this is my first season betting on sports. I found May incredibly easy to make money and to a slightly less degree in June also. But ever since all-star break I have been struggling to just break even.
Would you say I've been lucky or would it be normal to experience trouble post all star break?
Thanks for any help.

During this time of year there are a few things changing. Young talent is coming up. These players are alot hungrier IMO so a bad team may get alittle spark, also a team like the Marlins who has had young players all year are finally gelling.

Now is also the time to check streaks a team like the Wsox, Rsox are struggling so its a very good time to bet against. While the Yanks are hot bet them. Even though these teams are fighting for the wild card they still can run cold.

Another thought is too check bullpens who have been overworked. So a sub par reliever may blow the game if he is getting a chance or a guy who has pitched too much may not have his stuff.

The pressure during the second half is much higher. WEaker teams may be hopeful and work harder now that their playoff hopes are on the line every night. During the First half good teams understand the importance of every game so they are fighting for the playoffs everyday. Also the Trade Deadline have left some teams in funks and has changed bullpens and lineup. The results from these changes can be incredible.
