I am back from my mini getaway. I am still amazed how since I stopped putting actual money (quit betting) on baseball that I have completely turned it around. I am going to be strong and continue to post, but not bet. I know I can do it with football getting ready to kickoff. Ok, lets try and pick some more winners today.
phillies vs atlanta (3 units)..............there is no line on this game yet, I am assuming it is because they do not know the pitching matchup yet. THIS IS ONLY A PLAY FOR ME IF BRETT MYERS GOES FOR THE PHILLIES. Everybody talked a couple of days ago how the braves are back in it and they are going to make the playoffs because they were so hot. Now all of a sudden the phillies are tied with the braves, so aything is possible. In my opinion, the phillies next five game are going to determine if they go after players or get rid of players. We get the braves for two and then arizona for three. I think the braves have a couple of players questionable for tonight as well. Brett Myers only chance to win back the fans is to throw a gem tonight. The public seems to be real forgiving when you win games, so this is a must start for not only the phils, but Myers as well. I have a feeling the phils show some pride tonight. This is the ESPN Sunday night game of the week. I don't know the line yet, I imagine the phils might even be a small favorite, guess they could be a dog too the way the braves have played. This is a play for me no matter what the line is....as long as Myers pitches.
st louis -104 vs dodgers (3 units)................There is something telling me it is time to start fading the dodgers. They are in danger or already have of falling back with the other wildcard teams like the phillies and braves who need to get red hot to get back into it. I also get the feeling the cards are going to get hot and put that division away. You have got to love the cards as this small a favorite.
arizona -112 vs colorado (2 units)................I am not sure how this team is where they are, but they are. I have not given them enough credit all year and have gone against them many times. I hope it is not too late, but I am going to jump on the arizona bandwagon. I see alot of value getting the diamondbacks at home at only 112.
cincinnati -118 vs milwuakee (2 units).............I said right after the allstar break that the reds would get hot like they started the season and they have played very well. Much like arizona above, I just cannot pass up the home team at these odds.
I almost made my two unit plays three unit plays, but did not want to push my luck.
mets -105 vs houston (1 unit)..................Another small home favorite I cannot pass up. The mets at home vs the light hitting astros. How can you not take this one.
detroit -154 vs oakland (1 unit)..............Everybody keeps waiting for the tigers to fall, but I don't think they are going to. I love Jim Leyland. I was hoping when the phillies were looking for a manager a couple of years ago, that Leyland was going to take the job. He really knows how to motivate players.
Guess that is all for today. Back on Monday morning with some more winners. Even though back from my little mini trip, I do not go back to work until Tuesday, so I am in a good mood today, hope my mood gets even better with some winners.
