first bad day in a while, guess i was due, that is ok. last day before the allstar break. i am glad for the break. my phillies have had a very disappointing first half. maybe at least ryan howard can win the HR hitting contest in pittsburgh.
mets -161 vs florida (3 units)...............lets do some simple math....glavine + home field = win. mets are 15-3 when tom glavine starts. mets bats continue hot after putting up 17 runs in game two yesterday.
phillies -148 vs pittsburgh (3 units)...............probably betting with my heart again, but i don't care. alot of poeple are really down on the phillies, including myself. i say year after year that if this team can stay healthy, that they are as good as anybody in the nl east. been a rough year so far, but we get a few pitchers back in the second half and cole hamels is going to be a great one, eventually. i think they rushed him up to the bigs a little early, so he is experiencing some growing pains. phils can win their first series in the last eight by winning today. cole hamels anxious to take the mound after pitching just two innings due to rain in his last start. going against zach duke will be tough, but i see a pitchers duel today with the phils finally winning a series. throw in the fact the pirates still suck on the road too.
milwaukee -135 vs cubs (2 units)................milwaukee has a very good team at home. cubs underachieving again. oh no! prior pitching today. guess what? he sucks. prior and wood should be pitching on the chicago hospitals softball team. they are always hurt anyway and this way they can throw under handed so they don't hurt their arms anymore. i get tired of falling for how good these guys are and betting on them and losing. brewers should be a much bigger favorite than they are. prior getting way too much respect from the linesmakers. i will be shocked if he lasts four innings today. brewercrew win easily.
dodgers +119 vs san fran (2 units)............i am taking this simply because i am so stubborn. i have lost with the dodgers the past two and the minute i don't take them vs the giants, i know they will win, so i have to stick with them.
cincinnati -131 vs atlanta (1 unit)..........atlanta starting to come around a little bit, but i think they end the first half on a losing note, it has just been that kind of first half for the braves, something we are not used to in the nl east. in my opinion, the reds have a huge pitching advantage today and they won't need mnay runs to win this game. i was hoping the reds would be a dog in atlanta, but did not get that lucky.
toronto -1.5 (-119) vs kansas city (1 unit)...............royals don't suck as bad as people think at home as they are only three games below 500. you have got to love the toronto bats along with halladay throwing. one of two things will happen today. either toronto destroys them or kansas city wins outright. that is how i feel about this and that is why i am taking the runline instead of the moneyline.
guess that is it for bases until thursday. i will not be making a play on the allstar game, i already know that.
