well, my new goofy way off thinking paid off, at least for one night. both of my three unit plays were rained out, so it might have done even better, we will never know. i might as well continue with the same thinking.
san fran +133 vs mets, game 1 (3 units)..................mets have hernandez pitching at home for the first time since traded. he won his first game with the mets. he should be pumped playing at shea and this line is fairly low to get the mets at home. mets should win this one easy. THAT IS WHY I AM TAKING THE GIANTS.
san fran +163 vs mets, game 2 (3 units)..............another easy win for the mets. glavine has been almost unhittable at home. mets continue to play well as they have maintained that lead in the nl east. mets bats and glavine make for an easy victory. THAT IS WHY I AM TAKING THE GIANTS.
arizona +163 vs atlanta, game 1 (3 units)...................even though arizona in first place, i think the are a bit over rated. they are going to hit a losing streak soon. playing the braves in atlanta is not easy with smoltz pitching. braves have fought back to get into the nl east race and need to win games at home like this. smoltz should pitch a gem today. THAT IS WHY I AM TAKING ARIZONA.
arizona +129 vs atlanta, game 2 (3 units)...................pretty much the same reasons as above. this time thompson pitching for the braves. he has pitched better than his win loss record indicates. he was in the era leaders. he is due for some offense behind him, should come today. THAT IS WHY I AM TAKING ARIZONA.
i usually only play two 3 units games, but wanted to go with four with both being double headers. both favs good enough to sweep at home, but baseball has just been too strange for me this year. i like the home teams to sweep, so i know they won't. a split will make me money today.
phillies +153 vs dodgers (2 units).........dodgers have been playing great ball. phils have brito pitching, dodgers have penney. this game should not be close. dodgers should pound brito today, while penney slows phils offense down. an easy la win. THAT IS WHY I AM TAKING THE PHILS.
san diego +122 vs pittsburgh (2 units)..................bucs playing great ball lately at home, getting pitching, homeruns and timely hitting. now we get zach duke pitching and he is due for a great outing like we saw all of last year. great value with the bucs today at home. THAT IS WHY I AM TAKING SAN DIEGO.
tampa bay +1.5 (+133) vs toronto (1 unit).............does it get an easier than this? halladay vs tampa bay. this is about as close to a lock as you can get the way halladay has looked this year. throw in the jays explosive bats and you have an easy winner. THAT IS WHY I AM TAKING TAMPA BAY.
kansas city +193 vs seattle (1 unit)................kansas city on the road maybe the worst team in the history of baseball. you could put 20 units on seattle and feel pretty safe. THAT IS WHY I AM TAKING KANSAS CITY.
yes, i have completely lost my mind, in case you are wondering. it worked last night. at this point the way the season has gone, i would rather lose part of my mind and win a few more bets. (just kidding of course), but you guys who have hit losing streaks like mine will understand.
