split my plays yesterday, but hit my two unit play for a profit for the day. at least headed in the right direction. cut my losses from almost 15 units down to under 10. thank god bases is a long season. I just about felt like giving up after one week. everybody, no matter how bad or how good is going to hit losing and winning streaks. it was just unfortunate that i had a losing streak to start the season. oh well, i only like three today.
la dogers -108 vs pittsburgh (two units)..............i have been riding the pirates all year. ok, i am stupid. i think i got caught up in all the hype of how improved they were supposed to be with their new manager. i live in a city where the bucs AA team plays and i think they could give the pirates a game. zach duke is starting to look like a one year wonder. i am done playing this minor league team. dodgers play well at pittsburgh and are simply the better team. this should be a winner.
yankees -1.5 (-146) vs kansas city (one unit)..............this should be easy. yanks too steep on the moneyline (-272), but that is a close to a lock as you will find. i just cannot lay that kind of money but am willing to take the runline. should be a blowout. kc pitcher mays only 1-7 career vs the yanks. i see the yanks scoring at least 8 today. this game should go over as well, but i am not really a totals plays mainly because i suck at totals.
cleveland -153 vs seattle (one unit)..............not sure why i like the tribe today. no numbers to back this up. i just have a gut feeling they win today. how many of you have placed bets for no other reason than a gut feeling?
hoping to chip away at my deficit again today. little by little, that is all i ask.
