Default Tuesday Spring Ball!!!!

With the season getting closer I wanted to hit a few more spring games to get warmed up///

Here are today's 1:05 lines and info to follow on each game:

Houston -120 Vs Atlanta

The Astros will host the Atlanta Braves at Osceola County Stadium on Tuesday at 12:05 p.m. CT. Left-hander Wandy Rodriguez will face Braves right-hander John Thomson. Left-hander Trever Miller and right-handers Chad Qualls and Russ Springer are also scheduled to pitch.

The Braves are hitting the ball well of late with Laroche hitting a couple of long balls of late. Thomson is in a battle with Sosa for the fifth spot in the rotation and a quality start today may get him that spot since Sosa had a tough outing last time out.

Braves +100

Next game coming up!!

Tigers Vs Dodgers -125

The Tigers will take most of their regulars to Vero Beach on Tuesday for a 1:05 p.m. ET game against the Dodgers. Depending on Kenny Rogers' bout with the flu, either he or Jason Grilli will make the start. Jae Seo is the scheduled starter for Los Angeles, while Eric Gagne is also tentatively slated to pitch.

The Dodgers have been hitting the ball well and I like the fact that I have Gagne pitching in this game which means late in this game I should have stronger pitching.

Also the Tigers are banged up and with a bout oame flu in the clubhouse I don't expect an A game today.

Guillen and Infante aren't the only injury worries on Leyland's mind. He's still wary of Craig Monroe's quadriceps, Placido Polanco's calf, and Magglio Ordonez's knee was sore from sitting around as the designated hitter Sunday. The concerns were enough that the manager, who says he takes it personally if players aren't prepared and healthy for the season, wasn't in a good mood before the game.

"I'm very concerned about having this club 100 percent healthy and ready to go," he said. "The fact of the matter is, I'm very concerned that nagging things are showing up and I'm not very happy about it. It's nobody's fault, but I'm very concerned about it. I'm concerned about the combination of having enough playing time to be ready and yet not overdoing it so where somebody's going to end up on the disabled list."

Right-hander Jae Seo will start for the Dodgers against the Tigers in a 12:05 p.m. PT game on Tuesday. Seo will be followed by Hong-Chih Kuo, Danys Baez and Gagne and I will take them here.

Dodgers -125

Jays -123 Vs Twins

Downs will take the mound against Minnesota right-hander Scott Baker when the Blue Jays host the Twins at 1:05 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Knology Park. Downs is 1-1 with a 6.43 ERA in four outings, including two starts, during Spring Training.

There is not much I like about this game, I like the Jays since they lost just yesterday to the Twins and do have a better atrter, but Downs has had a tough spring working on mechanics more than results.

Pass with a lean to the Jays

Mets Vs Florida PK

The Marlins return to Roger Dean Stadium on Tuesday where they will face the Mets at 1:05 p.m. ET. Because the team is still lining up the regular-season rotation, to slot everyone where they want, Tuesday's starter will not be someone already in camp. Instead, right-hander Craig Molldrem is being called in from Minor League camp for a one-day spot start. The Mets are going with Aaron Heilman

Aaron Heilman, Yusaku Iniki and Jose Lima pitch for the Mets against the Marlins on Tuesday at 1:05 p.m. ET

I am taking the Mets -110 here. The fish have had a great spring, but the fish are not here to win this one but set the team up for the season with rotations.

Baltimore Vs Cardinals PK

The Orioles take on the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday at 1:05 p.m. ET at Fort Lauderdale Stadium, and Baltimore will match Bruce Chen up against Jeff Suppan. Chen, the fifth arm in Baltimore's rotation, will be making his final Grapefruit League start

this is one of my favorite games on the card today. The O's actually had a closed door meeting on the sloppy play they have shown in spring. Although they did not focus on wins/losses they vowed to run out ground balls and play smart ball. In the meantime the cards will let reserves get playing time.

O's -110

Tampa Bay Vs Pittsburgh -125

The Rays will travel to Bradenton on Tuesday for a 1:05 p.m. ET contest against the Pirates at McKechnie Field. Left-hander Scott Kazmir will make his final start of the spring in advance of his Opening Day start in Baltimore on April 3. Left-hander Paul Maholm will start for the Pirates.

The final game at the 1:05 slate will be a pass for me!!!

I like the Dodgers pick alot. The only one I don't agree w/ is the Mets. The marlins have been crazy explosive this spring.
