The late game tonight is one that I have some interest in. The Orioles are hefty dogs in this game, but let’s look at some numbers. Angels come into this on a two game losing streak and the bullpen is in shambles. The Orioles are hitting better than the Angels in the last ten games overall. (.287-.278) Lackey is 0-2 at home and has an ERA of 5.28 in those starts. The O’s have won Guthrie’s last two starts and he has given up 2 earned or less in his starts in LA. The lineups are in and the O’s have a full compliment of players in for game one against the Angels. They are full of solid left handed bats that will give Lackey fits and put the game in the hands of the bullpen. The Angels have the worst bullpen in the majors with an ERA of 5.41. LACKEY is 10-17 (-17.4 Units) against the money line as a home favorite of -150 to -175 since 1997. The real trick is Bill Hohn behind the plate. I can almost guarantee someone will get ejected tonight with him behind the plate. His numbers show under but he is an over guy and squeezes the plate, check out his game when he tossed Chipper Jones and Bobby Cox when the Braves played the Red Sox. He makes the pitchers throw strikes and that leads to overs. The wind is blowing out and I have two plays on this game.
