St. Louis @ Pittsburgh
I won't even get into the bird numbers at Pitt of late unless you live in a closet you know they have owned them of late and the only way it does not happen tonight is if Duke shows up...and I am not going to bet against Duke with Marquis numbers or bet on Duke with the red bird numbers so how about a total play?
Over 8
Duke get sabout 6 runs per supprot in the game and Marquis allows 7, and something tells me Duke will get hit up a little bit tonight...
Cuzzi behind the dish has hit the over 3 out of his last four with the birds and four out of his last five with Pitt to include 2 out of 3 at Pitt.
Cincy @ Washington
Armas gets the call in this game tonight, but look at some of these recent trends....
CIN is 4-1 in Hudson's last five starts.
CIN is 10-1 in their last 11 away games.
WAS is 4-11 in their last 15 at home.
WAS is 2-7 in the last nine meetings.
So your getting a recently good road team against a recently bad home team at plus money without even digging deep, but of course I must The reds also have better hitting numbers in the last ten games, home vs away and overall, what does worry about backing the Reds is the pen of late they have struggled at an era over 8 in the last three while washington is below one, but how well will Armas look? Well he is 5-0 at home while Luke Hudson has a huge ERA on the road over 7, but not lately in fact he has not given up more than three in five straigfht starts....I am going to try and pull two in this spot...
Reds +133 and Over 9 EV
One more....
Cleveland @ Tampa
I liked Tampa last night enough to lose some dough on them, but what about tonight? Well first this one stinks of the over with both pitchers with an ERA over 7 in the last three, the series going over 3 out of 4 and the unp over 5 out of 6, but I have to point out a few other things. The indians struggle against lefties giving up 20 points in average overall and 40 points against lefties on the road as opposed to at home. So it would seem like a play on the over and the home team would be in order, but I am not so sure the rays are not coming back to earth...hendrickson is not a guy to rest your hat on as far as starters go even though he is a lefty and the tribe have the streak in the favor as they are winning in bunches right now and hitting a ton...the Rays bullpen blew up last night and the rays are 6-17 in game two of a series after a loss in game one. Also wegner behind the plate has home doggies at just 10-17 since '02...not to mention westbrook has been a solid favorite in the last few years at this price....Westbrook - 15-3 TSR as a favorite of -125 to -175 over the last 2 seasons....
Indians-1.5
