Regular Season Wins, always one of the most popular MLB Prop bets heading into the baseball season, is now available at betED.com. Until opening day on March 31, baseball betting fans can make over/under wagers on how many wins Major League Baseball teams will accumulate over the 2008 regular season. The defending World Series champion Boston Red Sox are tied with the Detroit Tigers for highest total at betED.com, both with 94½. Boston is Over -115, Under -115, while Detroit is Over -110, Under -120. Last season, the Red Sox finished tied with the Cleveland Indians for most wins in MLB with 96. This season, Cleveland's over/under win total is 90½ (Over -120, Under -110). The New York Yankees are at 93½, with the Over -120 and Under -110. In 2007, the Yankees finished just behind the Red Sox in the American League East division with 94 victories. The Yankees' National League rival, the Mets, are right with the Yankees at 93½ (Over -115, Under -115). Last season, the Mets finished second in the NL East with 88 wins. The Philadelphia Phillies, who won the NL East with 89 wins, are picked to do about the same this season with 88½ (Over -110, Under -120). On the low end of the scale, the Baltimore Orioles are picked to have the lowest number of wins this season - the over/under is 66 (Over -115, Under -115). Last season, the Orioles finished with 69 victories, more than the Tampa Bay Rays with 66 and the Pittsburgh Pirates with 68. This season, Tampa Bay is expected to improve, with the over/under at 74½ (Over -130, Under +100). Pittsburgh is expected to be about the same with 68½ (Over-115, Under -115). With the injuries to Boston's pitching staff I like the under in win totals for the year.
