Default Crystal ball second half

Second half crystal ball

Finally back and raring to go and thought I would take a quick overall look at some of the divisions and who may win it in the end, some bold predictions and some no brainers.

AL East

No brainer in the East is that the Rays are done besides that this is a dead heat between the other four teams and even the Blue Jays have a shot at taking the division. I still think this comes down to the Yankees and the Red Sox, but with a lean to the Red Sox who play many games in the friendly confine of Fenway in the second half of the season and they always play well at home. The O’s could surprise if Bedard or Lopez get back anytime soon. My Bold prediction in this division is that the Yankees will finish third behind the Sox and the O’s.

AL Central

No brainer in the central belongs to the White Sox who will win the division. The twins and Indians may make a run, but you can’t ignore the Sox being up by nine games and a nice 26-5 in the central. The tigers, Indians, and twins are solid teams but I don’t look for them to overtake the sox and the Royals are dead. My bold prediction is that the Tigers will fire Trammel by the en of the year.

AL West

With all apologies to Texas and Oakland my no brainer is that the Angels will win the west. They just are much better than the teams in this division and will get even better in the second half. My bold prediction is that Seattle will not finish last here. They have some pitching that can win ballgames and although they had a winning spurt I still don’t trust the A’s to make a run at the wildcard.
