| Beginner Question So I just set up my account with Bodog and plan on getting my feet wet with some MLB this weekend but, of course i have some beginner questions. Well i say beginner but i've been playing around with wagering for about 2 years now and want to get serious about it.
1. What was your first bankroll you started out with.
2. When do you start with-drawing money from your winnings. (this has been a problem with me i tend to etiher pull everything out or lose it all back to the book, i need some kind of medium)
3. How much of a suckers bet (what i've been told) are Parlays!! My biggest win was a parlay!!!
4. How many do this for a living, is it possible. (Not that i want to, i find that making picks under pressure never pay off for me.)
Not really a question but i wanted to say thanks for the forum. Nice to see a place where opinions and picks can be express without ridicule. Look forward to the comments!!!
Good luck to all and have a fruitful season, $$$$$ for everyone!!!! |

| All are good questions:
1. What was your first bankroll you started out with. $75 but that was a long, long, long time ago
2. When do you start with-drawing money from your winnings. (this has been a problem with me i tend to etiher pull everything out or lose it all back to the book, i need some kind of medium) You should set goals before you set your money off. I would take a low percentage that you want to make and when you reach that goal take it out.
3. How much of a suckers bet (what i've been told) are Parlays!! My biggest win was a parlay!!! Depends, if your going to take them in any sport its basesball. Keep them low no crazy 12 teamers, and take them for a small percentage of your bankroll and you will be fine.
4. How many do this for a living, is it possible. Not me.
Good Luck this season and glad to have you hear.

| First welcome aboard. All good questions:
1. What was your first bankroll you started out with.
I started out through a bookie and most weekends lost more than I should have. Hence I went to online because it is more structured and you cant get hurt by chasing to an extent. That said my first deposit was for $300, I played $25-50 a game.
2. When do you start with-drawing money from your winnings. (this has been a problem with me i tend to etiher pull everything out or lose it all back to the book, i need some kind of medium)
I like to set a goals, First I want to take back my original investment. After I try and make a second goal like if I made X amount I would take that out. The key is to try and stay within your pattern, dont bet larger because your up unless you are prepared for bigger swings.
3. How much of a suckers bet (what i've been told) are Parlays!! My biggest win was a parlay!!!
Well your payout odds are higher but then again so are the oddsof winning. If you go two out of three on a par lay you lose. 2 out of 3 in straight bets you win. Sports betting is all about the grind, not get rich quick.
4. How many do this for a living, is it possible. (Not that i want to, i find that making picks under pressure never pay off for me.)
I do it for fun, and to make alittle extra cash. As much as its appealing to do this or poker for a living I dont have the stomach or bankroll for it. But with lots of work it is possible and not every individual can do this. |

| I always use cash, then you can move money quicker and your fees are always given back. That's just me.

| Many of the cards nowadays have restrictions on it due to the offshore gambling restrictions. Your best bet is to use your card in another manner like western union or using an online institution to help you out.

| I always use money gram or western union, they pickup the fees and usually give a better bonus than that of a credit card do to charge backs etc |
