Wow I didnt see that. I realize that there is some more behind it with the charges but this will lead to worse things I am afraid. I guess the U.S. like it better that we do these things through local bookies?

The crazy thing is this guy (Caruthers) isn't even a U.S. Citizen and he was arrested. This could be very bad. The govt is shooting for what they considered to be the biggest online gambling site there is. In all actuality they are probably just the most promoted. Interesting to see where it goes. This could really suck for our forum...lets just hope for the best though.  | |

I truly hope not. I think some of this has to do with other things they were doing with their money. If anything some how way eventually we will see either a way to track and tax winnings or possibly tax the books on profits made in the U.S. or hopefully in the end nothing!

I think it is big, just because of who was arrested but he was not arrested because of the new bill passed, but because he was in the US.

This particular situation isn't that big, but it will lead to more and more problems for online books. Apparently this situation has already caused a bit of a "run on the books" to cashout as quickly as possible.
