These tournaments will be held every Thursday at 9:30PM EST. They're apparently cosponsored by Lava Life, an online dating service. Registering was very easy....not even a confirmation email was required. Doesn't sound bad...11 chances and if you make the final you're guaranteed $25 gift certificate from one of: Amazon.com, eBay, iTunes, Target and BestBuy. Grand prize is a trip for 2 to a Club Med in a tropical locale

Eleven weekly Qualifying Tournaments starting Thursday March 23, 2006 at 9:30 PM EST.

The top 20 winners from each week will get an automatic entry to the Final Tournament to be held on Thursday June 8, 2006 at 9:30 PM EST.

All 220 players in the Final Tournament will get a prize.

I secured my place in the finals of this tournament on the first try. I bumped this back up because someone is gonna win those spots. It might as well be BTB'ers. Basically if you can double up early, you can probably just sit out the rest of the way and make the cut. The concept of trying not to lose is hard to grasp for most Partiers.

If you want a guaranteed $25 from Amazon and possibly $5000, it's worth signing up. After I clicked the link I was done and smoking an afterglow cig in under three minutes. Just make sure your name is on the registered list for that tourney at Party Poker. I had to email lavalife on the day I played for that very reason, and PP put me on the list.

Hey guys if you qualified for the finals....this tournament starts tonight at 9:30PM EST. Since there was such a time gap since this promotion started, I thought I'd post a reminder. Don't know whether to look for any fellow BTB'ers or not. If so, good luck and I'll see you at the final table (at least in spirit).
