Default Tuesday Picks

17-6 so far after a disappointing 3-3 record monday. Gonna make the last day of January a good one..... a profitable one......attaining my goal of +20 units..... 1 unit = 100....etc..etc...for those who didn't know. Also I am a strong advocate of buying points whenever possible ...I am not in this just to see if I can beat the linesmaker....I do this because I don't want to work anymore..... and if I can get a leg up by buying off of a hook etc.....then I am going to do it ....with that being said; A few real good games I see today.

Both teams split the series last year each winning on the road.

UConn is ranked #2 in Def FG% allowing 36.7%.
UConn leads the league in rebounds at 40.8.

Pitt gives up the lowest FT% in the league allowing 61.5% per game.
Pitt is ranked #17 in Def FG% allowing 39.3%

Even with UConn's home record and the strength of their team as a whole, 8 points is a lot to lay against a damn good Pittsburgh team, who plays pretty tough on the road, and will be looking to extend their winning streak, as well as, knocking off the #1 team in the nation, they have already jumped three spots in the poll, and will be shooting for more. I look for Pitt to play UConn tough, as most times I think league games tend to be closer than other matchups....just my opinion, no factual basis.....I am taking the points with the Panthers.

Pittsburgh +9 buying one point - 2 units

Nebraska and Oklahoma State will be meeting for the 110th time in series history with the Huskers holding a 60-49 all-time advantage. Oklahoma State owns a 30-14 all-time record over the Huskers in Stillwater, Okla., and a 28-14 edge in venerable Gallagher-Iba Arena. In all three of Nebraska's league victories, it has held foes to less than 60 points while only one – then-No. 12/14 Oklahoma (45.3 percent) – hit better than 38 percent from the floor.

Oklahoma State has lost its last three games, including two in overtime by a
combined four points. Oklahoma State leads the Big 12 Conference in field goal
shooting, connecting on 50.5 percent of its shots from the floor. The Cowboys are the only team in the league shooting better than 50 percent. OSU is second in the league in free throw percentage at 72.5 percent. OSU is second in rebounding defense, allowing just 29 rebounds per game. Opponents have connected on 44.4 percent from the field on the year including 35.7 percent from beyond the arc, as teams have combined to hit 41 more 3-pointers than the Cowboys.

Nebraska is 13-6 overall this season and 3-3 in Big 12 Conference action.
The Huskers are 1-3 on the road, with their only win at Kansas State on
Jan. 11, a 57-42 victory over the Wildcats. NU is led by the senior duo of
Wes Wilkinson (12.3 points and 7.1 per game) and Jason Dourisseau (10.7
ppg, 6.8 rpg). The Huskers third-leading scorer, Joe McCray, has been suspended
indefinitely. As a team, Nebraska is shooting 41.3 percent from the
floor, but 35.3 percent from beyond the three-point arc.
NU's last victory on the Cowboys' home court came in 1998 when the Huskers grabbed a 67-62 victory. In four meetings in Stillwater since the start of Big 12 play, three were decided by a combined 16 points (NU 67-62 in 1998; OSU 70-63 in 2002; OSU 87-83 in overtime in 2004) and the other was a 94-55 OSU win.

I don't think that Nebraska is going to pull of the win here tonight, they just don't like to score on the road, but I like OSU giving them 11, so I'll take them and run.

Nebraska +11 - 2 units

I like the Nebraska pick. However i am buying a couple and going with Uconn tonight. Pittsburgh is just too overrated for me this year and Uconn is just GOOD lol.

Good luck. Haven't decided if I am betting anything yet for sure but I like Uconn buying a couple. Maybe UNI.
