ESPN 2 will air Charlotte vs the Hoosiers tonight and everyone is pounding the Hoosiers in this one as the line went from a PK all the way up to 4 in some places, but is it warranted?
I am not so sure in this game; the Hoosiers are off a big win against Kentucky and start a three game road trip that I am sure they are not pumped up for. Charlotte is at home on national television and they have a chance to knock off a very good Hoosier team. Bobby Lutz is coaching in his 500th game tonight, giving his players extra incentive to get the win. Junior De'Angelo Alexander, named one of the nation's Top 5 transfers by Rivals.com, was named Atlantic 10 co-Player of the Week, after scoring a career-high 32 points (11-18 FG; 7-10 3FG) vs. Valparaiso. Alexander now leads the 49ers in scoring (17.0 ppg) adds 7.3 rebounds and has 11 steals. Since this is Charlotte's first season in the A-10, he is the first player in 49er history to earn an A-10 Player of the Week Award. Keep an eye on him tonight. They can rebound well and get even scoring from all players.
Last year this was a one point game and I look for Charlotte to give them a fight again tonight.
