The Louisville Cardinals are no longer thought of as a national power but that does not mean they still can’t make a bowl game and have a good season. They will try and win their second straight game on Friday night as they host the Utah Utes. SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking the favored Louisville at Home.
Last week Louisville got back to winning as they dominated North Carolina State 29-10. Utah has also not played well this season. They lost to Oregon State and Air Force to open the season then shockingly upset UCLA before getting blown out by UNLV. They rebounded last week with a 34-18 win over Utah State. Brian Johnson was back at quarterback for the Utes as he threw for 181 yards and two scores last week.
Louisville throws for 393.4 yards per game which is third in the country but they will be facing a Utah secondary that is tops in the Mountain West. It could be that the Cardinals go to the ground game as they did a week ago in the win against N.C. State.
