The Orange Bowl is a heated battle between the Stanford Cardinal and the Virginia Tech Hokies, but the main focus will be on the quarterbacks. The latest college football odds for this bowl game has The Cardinal listed as 3.5 point favorites with the total set at 58.5

Andrew Luck leads Stanford into its first Orange Bowl to take on Tyrod Taylor and ACC champion Hokies, in what should be one of the better bowl games of the season.

This game is swirling with storyline beginning with the possible changes at Stanford. Current head coach Jim Harbaugh is rumored to be a top candidate for just about every college and professional job available. Meanwhile his best player, Luck, could be the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft this year, which belongs to the Carolina Panthers.

Luck completed more than 70 percent of his throws for 3,051 yards and rushed for 438 more, including three runs of at least 50 yards. While he is a mobile quarterback the Hokies also have a quick signal caller in Tyrod Taylor. It was not a given that the Hokies would be in this bowl game.

Virginia Tech is just happy to be in a BCS bowl game after the dismal start to the 2010 college football season. After all, the Hokies started the year off with a big loss to the Boise State Broncos only to follow that up with an embarrassing defeat at the hands of James Madison. Cooch Frank Beamer straightened the team out for a great run through the ACC and they are now in one of the bigger bowl games of the season.

The Hokies are 46-20 ATS in their last 66 games following a win, 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games as an underdog, and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games overall.

Stanford could be in trouble for this game with the travel, distractions, and facing one of the hottest teams in the country.
