The Super Seven squeaked out a win if you got the .5 point in Oklahoma, but for those that were unable to get it then the Super Seven finished 3-3-1. For record keeping purposes we will stick with 3-3-1 for the week bringing the record on the season to 25-23-1. This week the Super Seven covers some great games on the college football schedule.

College Football Week 1 Picks: 4-3
College Football Week 2 Picks: 5-2
College Football Week 3 Picks: 4-3
College Football Week 4 Picks: 2-5
College Football Week 5 Picks: 3-4
College Football Week 6 Picks: 4-3
College Football Week 7 Picks: 3-3-1
Overall: 25-23-1

1) Wednesday October 21st: Tulsa @ UTEP

Tulsa had a chance to take down Goliath when they faced Boise St last week but they fell short of that goal and that is the kind of loss that hangs around with a team for a while. The good news is they should have no problem getting better against UTEP and its defense. The Miners are 119th in total defense (493 yards per game), 115th in pass defense (277.3 ypg) and 109th in scoring defense (34.9 points per game). This line is close and UTEP should put up a fight but the defense is not good enough to keep it.

Play: Tulsa -7

2) Thursday October 22nd: Florida St @ North Carolina

Florida St takes to the road in this ACC battle but things have been rough for Florida St all year long. Some tough losses and close games against beatable opponents have put Bobby Bowden on the hot seat. Florida St has issues on defense but they have a quality offense that can score. North Carolina does not have enough weapons that can keep up with the Noles. Bowden gets his troops ready for prime time.

 Play: Florida St +2.5

3) Friday October 23rd: Rutgers @ Army

Rutgers and Army is not exactly that exciting matchup you circle your calendar for when the schedule comes out every year. Rich Ellerson is in his first year as head coach at Army and he has the Black Knights excited about the future of football but you can’t help but look in the past for this game. Rutgers has won five straight and thumped Army 30-3 last year. After a tough loss in the Big EastRutgers will look past this game and may just get upset.

Play: Army +10

4) Saturday October 24th: Georgia Tech @ Virginia

Georgia Tech has had some great upsets this year and are playing some great football. After wins against Florida St and Virginia Tech this team is primed for a letdown. Tech has lost and failed in its last five trips to Virginia, neglecting to cover by an average of 10 points per game. The Cavaliers have cashed 13 of their last 15 as home dogs versus an opponent with a winning percentage above .600. The Yellow Jackets have dropped 16 of their last 20 as conference road favorites of three to 20 points.

Play: Virginia +5.5

5)  Saturday October 24th: Penn St @ Michigan

Penn St is starting to slip and other big teams are starting to take notice. They head to Michigan to face the wolverines after beating them soundly last year. The Wolverines have cashed seven of their last 10 against the Nittany Lions and are 11-5as single-digit conference underdogs. Penn State is 2-12 ATS on the highway after allowing less than 10 points. Michigan gets revenge and the outright upset at home.

Play: Michigan +4.5

6) Saturday October 24th: Auburn @ LSU

After a great start Auburn has fallen back down to earth and it’s about to get worse. They travel to LSU and the tigers have had a week off to stew over the loss to the Gators. The Tigers haven’t lost two straight at home since 2001. The home team is 8-1 SU and 5-3-1 ATS in the past nine meetings. LSU is 9-4-1 ATS following a straight up loss while Auburn has dropped six straight ATS off a straight up setback.

Play: LSU -7.5

7) Saturday October 24th: Oregon St @ USC

USC Narrowly won in South Bend but they seem to be back on the winning track and now they welcome the Beavers to town. Oregon St has a way of playing USC tough since they have won two of the last three meetings. The favorite is 3-6 in the last nine meetings and this trend should continue. The scrappy Beavers
are 11-4 ATS versus top 10 teams and keep it close here but don’t get the win.

Play: Oregon St +21
