The Super Seven slumped out in week 5 going just 3-4 on a tough Saturday. Overall the NCAA Super Seven is 18-17 and still hovering above .500. This week is full of great games and the Super Seven has them all covered.Â
College Football Week 1 Picks: 4-3
College Football Week 2 Picks: 5-2
College Football Week 3 Picks: 4-3
College Football Week 4 Picks: 2-5
College Football Week 5 Picks: 3-4
Overall: 18-17
1)Â Thursday October 8th: Nebraska @ Missouri
I love to start off the week with an upset and it starts on Thursday night. Home conference dogs always play well and the Tigers have owned Nebraska. The home team has won and cashed in six of the last seven clashes between the Big 12 rivals. The Tigers are 8-2 ATS at home versus an opponent with revenge. The Huskers are 1-6 ATS when facing a winning team off back-to-back straight up and ATS victories. Finally Nebraska is 12-30 ATS Away off home win by 17+ pts and Missouri is 10-3 ATS 1st month of season. Take Missouri and the points.Â
Play: Missouri +3Â
2)Â Friday October 9th: Louisiana Tech @ Nevada
This line has jumped so high because Nevada is one of the better home favorites in the country and La Tech has problems coming off of big wins. Nevada is 21-9 ATS in the last 30 games as home favorites and they have owned the Bulldogs. The Wolf Pack has cashed three of their last four against Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs have been muzzled in 11 of their last 12 ATS off a double-digit ATS conference victory. Take the home team on Friday night before this number gets any higher.Â
 Play: Nevada -10Â
3)Â Saturday October 10th: Alabama @ Ole Miss
Ever since Ole Miss lost on the road to South Carolina they need a big win to get back in the pollsters eyes and this could do it. The Rebels have fought the good fight against the Tide in the past four showdowns, since each game has been close and Ole Miss has been cashing tickets. Mississippi has consistently risen to the occasion, cashing 13 of 15 versus Top 10 teams and 22 of 27 against ranked teams. The Rebels have also covered 14 of their last 21 as short-enders at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Houston Nutt knows how to get his team fired up for a big game and a win could get Snead back in the Heisman race. Alabama will be bucking a trend that has seen the visiting team lose and fail in seven of the past nine series skirmishes. Take the home dog in a biog game. Â
Play: Ole Miss +6Â
4)Â Saturday October 10th: Georgia @ Tennessee
Georgia is off a very tough loss to LSU. They were leading the game late and a suspect penalty led to the Dawgs losing the game in the end. Now they have to hit the road and tangle with the Vols. This is the exact kind of game that will kill a team like Georgia. They are off the tough loss and they have to try and get their game up against a home conference dog. This seems to be a common theme this week. Lane Kiffin will have his team ready for this one.Â
Play: Tennessee -2 Â
5)Â Saturday October 10th: Wisconsin @ Ohio St.
The Badgers and the Buckeye’s played down to the wire last year as the game was decided by just three points. The Buckeye’s keep that in mind as they face the badgers again this year. Ohio St has looked better and better each week and they can take a stranglehold of the Big Ten with a win here. The Badgers are 1-6 as conference road dog and should get manhandled by Ohio St. The Badgers are 0-4 ATS off win by 6pts or less and Ohio St is 25-12 ATS off back to back unders. Take the Buckeyes. Â
Play: Ohio St. -16.5Â
6)Â Saturday October 10th: Florida @ LSU
This game and the line will change with the playing status of Tim Tebow. I am going to wait to hear the announcement because I think he will play. If he does you will get a much better line and more value with the home dog. LSU has a dominating home field advantage and they can use it to their advantage. Florida has dominated LSU but this game is about revenge and it is very possible that LSU wins it on the field.Â
Play: LSU +7Â
7)Â Saturday October 10th: Auburn @ Arkansas
Auburn is finally getting some respect as they start 5-0 out the gate and they are off a very big win at Tennessee. This is a perfect spot for a letdown. The Hogs are off an impressive game and has covered three straight as home dogs after failing in its previous six chances. Auburn is 0-6 ATS off an under while Arkansas is 7-1 ATS off an under. Auburn is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 conference games and the underdog is 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings. Take the Hogs and the points!Â
Play: Arkansas +3
