The Super Seven had it’s first losing week on the year going a wretched 2-5 on the week. The yearly record is still over .500 at 15-13 and in the past after a down week the Super Seven has rebounded with a winning week after a losing week. On a good note for football junkies the college football week starts this Wednesday and that is why the early release for the Super Seven this week. Let’s get to the games.

College Football Week 1 Picks: 4-3
College Football Week 2 Picks: 5-2
College Football Week 3 Picks: 4-3
College Football Week 4 Picks: 2-5
Overall: 15-13

1) Wednesday September 30th: Hawaii @ LA Tech

Wednesday games are a bit tricky because they are the only games on television and so they get plenty of action. At the Super Seven the goal is to pick the high profile games but that doesn’t mean you have to play them. LA Tech is established as 4 point favorites since the home team has played well in this series. The host team has cashed in six of the last seven series meetings. Look for another win by the home team as Hawaii continues to struggle off the island.

Play: LA Tech -4

2) Thursday October 1st: Colorado @ West Virginia

Colorado will take the field against the Mountaineers for this prime time meeting. Colorado has struggled mightily in every aspect of the game this year and I expect for them to be in over their heads in this game. Colorado is 5-12 ATS versus non-conference BCS opponents and catch West Virginia off of a bye with plenty of time to prepare. The Mountaineers have won 22 of 31 and covered 20 of 31 following a bye and they have cashed seven of their last eight versus non-conference foes in Morgantown. This game will be out of reach early.

 Play: West Virginia -17.5

3) Friday October 2nd: Pittsburgh @ Louisville

Friday Night Football brings us a Big East match up for this week when the Panthers travel to take on Louisville. This has been a series that was dominated by the Cardinals until last year when the Panthers crushed the Cardinals to the tune of 41-7. The Panthers struggle against teams looking for revenge. The Panthers have faltered in 21 of 24 ATS off a straight up loss versus an opponent with revenge. This game will be closer than the experts think as the Cardinals show up to play on national television.

Play: Louisville +7

4) Saturday October 3rd: LSU @ Georgia

LSU is high ranked and has escaped to stay there thanks to a goal line stand last week at Mississippi St. Now they have to travel to Georgia to take on the Bulldogs. This is a tough meeting but playing a physical game on the road will take its toll on the Tigers. Georgia has won and cashed three straight against LSU and they will make it four this Saturday and take down the Tigers.

Play: Georgia -3

5)  Saturday October 3rd: Oklahoma @ Miami

This game has everything that you would want in a big meeting between teams. Sam Bradford is discussing playing and Miami is coming back to earth after getting crushed by Virginia Tech on the road. The Hurricanes have won and cashed eight of their last nine against Big 12 enemies and the home field advantage will allow the Canes to keep this one close. Take the home dog in the big game of the week.

Play: Miami +7.5

6) Saturday October 3rd: Florida St @ Boston College

Florida St was upset last week at home and stunned as South Florida ran them over in their own house. Now they have to travel to Boston in what becomes a must win if they want to win the ACC. BC will be tapped after an emotional over time win. The visiting team has won and cashed in the four previous ACC meetings between FSU and BC. The Seminoles are 8-2 ATS off a straight up loss. The Noles roll over the Eagles

Play: Florida St -5

7) Saturday October 3rd: Michigan @ Michigan St.

Only in the Big Ten will you see a team that is 1-3 favored over a 4-0 team. The Spartans can already look at this game as a season maker and have come close to beating tough teams but always seem to fall short but not this weekend. Michigan is 2-10 ATS with revenge versus an opponent off a straight up setback and the straight up winner is 13-3 ATS in the last 16 meetings. Stick with the home team in this rivalry and take the Spartans to give Michigan the first loss of the season.

Play: Michigan St
