College Football Week 2 Betting Picks

The Super Seven started the season on a good note finishing the week on the positive side. The final record for the week was 4-3 with a few games being decided at the last minute. This week is full of great games and the Super Seven has them all covered.

College Football Week 1 Picks: 4-3
Overall: 4-3

1) Thursday September 10th: Clemson @ Georgia Tech

Clemson was the talk of the town in the ACC last year and slowly slipped away while the yellow jackets did very well with the option. The tigers love this scenario and are primed to get the out right win. The underdog in this series is 12-2 in the last 14 and the Tigers are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Follow that up with the fact that the road team is 7-3 ATS in the last team and it leads to a play on the Tigers.

2) Friday September 11th: Colorado @ Toledo

Colorado lost at home as outright dogs and now hit the road. This is a perfect fade spot against the Buffaloes. They are at an all time low and have no reason to get up in the second game on the road in of all places Toledo. Toledo has thrived as home dogs, cashing eight of its last 11, including six outright upsets. Colorado is 4-9, both SU and ATS, in 'true' road openers and 1-4-9 ATS on artificial turf. The Buffaloes are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. loss and Toledo is an amazing 27-13 ATS in their last 40 home games. I back my second dog of the week with Toledo.

3) Saturday September 12th: South Carolina @ Georgia

Georgia lost a tough game against Oklahoma St. They were in the game most of the way before a fatal penalty killed a special team’s play and took the wind out of their sails. South Carolina played an ugly game last Thursday against NC St and even though they got the win they did not impress. The favorite is 7-4-1 in this series and will be 8-4-1 after this game. The Bulldogs defense is just too tough. Georgia rebounds from a tough loss and takes it out on the cocks.

4) Saturday September 12th: Notre Dame @ Michigan

Last week these two storied teams took one step to repairing the bad year they had last year. Whoever wins this game will take a giant step. The Irish are playing in the big house and they have the experience not to be intimidated but the talent is still iffy. It is tough on both sides of the ball but in what should be a close game I will take the home team and the points.

5) Saturday September 12th: TCU @ Virginia

Traveling to the east coast is never fun for a talented team like TCU. It gets even worse when you consider that TCU is 11-18-2 ATS in its past 31 regular-season road outings. The Cavaliers have always been a deadly home dog as they have cashed in 16 of the last 21 games in this spot. TCU will get caught not taking this team seriously and will not cover the big number.

6) Saturday September 12th: USC @ Ohio St.

This is by far the best game on the card for Saturday when USC heads into Columbus. Ohio St will be ready for this one as Pryor has more experience and it’s USC that comes in with the young QB at the helm. Ohio State has won nine of its last dozen SU and ATS against Pac-10 tenants.USC has faltered in 10 of 12 as road chalk off a double-digit SU victory. Ohio St was looking ahead to this game and will be ready to prevail at home in this contest!

7) Saturday September 12th: East Carolina @ West Virginia

East Carolina started off quick last year and became a force to be reckoned with in college football. This will keep West Virginia alert and taking this game seriously. East Carolina has lost 12 straight at Mountaineer Field and failed to cash in four of the last five meetings overall, losing by an average of 23 points. The Pirates have posted some good numbers as a road dog but come up short in this meeting as West Virginia wins going away.
