College Football Week 1 Betting Picks - Super Seven

Finally college football is here! This is the place for all of the great games and the picks to go with it! College football will be on all weekend long and you are covered with the NCAA Super Seven. The Super Seven is the top seven picks of the week highlighted by televised and big name games! Let’s get started:

1) Thursday September 3rd: South Carolina @ North Carolina St
NC St has revenge from getting blanked in last year’s openers and they have one of the best QB’s in the ACC with Russell Wilson poised to have a great year. While the Pack will impress this season Spurrier has the defensive answers for this offense. The Wolfpack has won 11 of their last 15 home openers, but are only 3-7 ATS. They have also floundered in seven of 10 ATS versus non-conference rivals at Carter-Finley Stadium. Gamecocks keep it close.
Play: South Carolina +5

2) Thursday September 3rd: Oregon @ Boise St
The blue turf makes ESPN for opening night when the Ducks take on Boise St. This is good news for the Broncos since they post a 42-18 ATS in home games and they have won 64 of its last 66 on the blue turf at Bronco Stadium. Oregon comes into this game with revenge off an upset loss from last year but the home field advantage will be too tough for Oregon to get by in this game. Boise St has something to prove if they want to be a player in the BCS and winning this game would do that.
Play: Boise St. -4

3) Friday September 4th: Tulsa @ Tulane
The schedule makers knew what they were doing when they put this game on for Friday night. This game has all of the potential of a high scoring up-and-down affair between these two teams. Keep this in mind in college football teams change over the years and do not handicap games off past results. Todd Graham has Tulsa looking strong again but they have flopped in seven of their last 11 as road favorites. It will be tight but take the dog and the points here.
Play: Tulane +13.5

4) Saturday September 5th: VT @ Alabama
The Hokies take on the Crimson Tide in what should be the game of the day for Saturday. The Hokies have already had injury problems losing RB Evans with an ACL tear. The good news is they are well coached and they are deep. They are 17-6 ATS in September road games and 12 of 16 road openers. Conversely, Alabama is 5-10 ATS in it s past 15 season debuts. The Hokies pull the upset on the road.
Play: Virginia Tech +6.5

5)  Saturday September 5th: Baylor @ Wake Forest
It was not that long ago that Wake Forest was a bad team and then surprised the nation and the ACC by playing well and proving to be a force in the ACC. Now it’s Baylor’s turn. They will be over looked because of a history of bad play and they are in the Big 12 but Baylor is a good team. Wake Forest is 8-18-1 of late as home chalk and the Demon Deacons have dropped 12 of 14 SU versus Big 12 clubs. They lose outright to Baylor on Saturday.
Play: Baylor +2.5

6) Sunday September 6th: Ole Miss @ Memphis
After an impressive season last year Ole Miss highlighted by a win over Florida, Houston Nutt has his kids ready to play. The reason for their high outlook is the defensive which looks to be among the best in the SEC. They are 7-3 under in road games and should start off with a great effort. It may be so low scoring that Memphis could squeak in with a cover and a close game. Stick with the total here.
Play Under 54

7) Monday September 7th: Cincinnati @ Rutgers
The Bearcats are off a great year and look to keep it going but open up with a tough game on the road. Brian Kelly turned down some great job offers to stick with this program that will flourish under his leadership. The dog has covered in the last three meetings between these Big East rivals, with two outright upsets. Cincinnati is 13-1 as single-digit dogs while Rutgers is 0-8 as favorites of less than seven points. The Scarlet Knights have also faltered in 11 of their last 14 home openers versus conference opponents. Bearcats will keep it within this number.
Play: Bearcats +6
