SMU and Nevada will face off in the Hawaii bowl and although the storyline should be about a great matchup and a solid year had by both programs it will inevitably come back to the return of June Jones to the islands. SMU is more than June Jones but this was still a rebuilding year for June Jones and the fact that SMU finished 7-5 and made a bowl game is impressive enough for the mustangs.
For Nevada it is a different story as they have flown under the radar all year long but are truly a talented bunch. In fact they own the nation’s best rushing attack and that will be bad news for the Mustangs of SMU. The Mustangs, who will take on the Wolf Pack in the Hawaii Bowl at Honolulu on Dec. 24, allow 169.2 rushing yards per game and an average of 4.4 yards per carry. The SMU offense is impressive in its own right as June Jones has begun to piece together is system he had in Hawaii.
This number is shooting through the roof since it opened and now has jumped over two touchdowns in some places, but you can get it for less if you shop around. The Wolf Pack are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games as a favorite of 10.5 or greater and the Mustangs are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. win. Get this line now before it goes through the roof.
