Second-ranked UCLA will take on Maryland tonight in the semifinals of the CBE Classic in Kansas City. The Bruins are still without guard Darren Collison who is recovering from a sprained left knee but they have freshman Kevin Love and a deep team. Collison averaged 12.7 points per game last year and is hoping to be back late this month. "I want to go out there and play so bad, but we have a long season," he said. Maryland is also unbeaten but has struggled. They won 70-64 over Hampton and 74-72 over Northeastern in overtime. James Gist led the Terrapins against Northeastern with 27 points. The Terrapins have been turning the ball over on a regular basis and are fortunate to be 3-0. "We have to figure out a way to bring energy to the game," head coach Gary Williams said. "I'm disappointed in the way we're handling the ball. It looks sloppy out there to me. ... We're playing offense too slow, not with a sense of urgency." The winner of tonight’s game will play the winner of the game between Michigan State and Missouri on Tuesday.
