Eric Gordon will be facing a rude welcome on Thursday night as Indiana takes on Illinois. Gordon is playing at Illinois for the first time since backing out of an agreement to play for the Illini. When Kevin Sampson replaced Mike Davis as coach he was able to convince Gordon to attend Indiana instead of Illinois. Gordon is now leading the Hoosiers at the top of the Big 10 while Illinois is floundering near the bottom of the conference. Indiana just slipped by Illinois last month at home 62-58 as Gordon scored 11 of his 17 points in the second half. It will not be easy for Gordon or Indiana with the reception they will face in Champaign on Thursday night. The Hoosiers have lost six straight at Illinois.
