Eric Gordon will be facing a rude welcome on Thursday night as Indiana takes on Illinois. Gordon is playing at Illinois for the first time since backing out of an agreement to play for the Illini. When Kevin Sampson replaced Mike Davis as coach he was able to convince Gordon to attend Indiana instead of Illinois. Gordon is now leading the Hoosiers at the top of the Big 10 while Illinois is floundering near the bottom of the conference. SBG Global reports that early NCAA Basketball betting has the public taking Indiana on the Road.
Indiana just slipped by Illinois last month at home 62-58 as Gordon scored 11 of his 17 points in the second half. It will not be easy for Gordon or Indiana with the reception they will face in Champaign on Thursday night. The Hoosiers have lost six straight at Illinois. "He was another player on the scouting report. Obviously, he's one of the best freshmen in the country, Illinois’ Brian Randle said, “But in terms of what everybody wants to hear, about we're angry or it's payback, it's just a game. It's Indiana versus Illinois." Indiana is trying to stay at the top of the conference with Purdue and Wisconsin. The Hoosiers are coming off a win against Northwestern as
D.J. White had 26 points and 13 rebounds for his third straight double-double. He had 15 points and 10 boards versus Illinois last month.
