The Rams have been a poor investment at just 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 games overall and a dead fade in Week as they are 1-10-1 ATS in their last 12 openers. They are also 2-11 ATS in their last 13 versus the NFC and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 road games. The Lions, meanwhile, are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 Week 1 contests and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 home games.

I just don't see St. Louis having an answer for Detroit's explosive passing game. The Rams finished 7th against the pass last season, but that was because teams ran on them at will.

I also don't see the Rams scoring many points. They ranked dead last in the NFL with only 12.1 points per game a year ago. They also led the league in sacks allowed, which doesn't bode well for them considering how talented Detroit is up front. Lay the number.
