At days end it comes down to strength of schedule and signature wins in this one. ISU very well coached by Paul Rhodes and he gets his team to overachieve all the time in big games. They had a chance to beat K State on the road in their last game and really should have won it. They KEY for ISU is the return of a healthy James White at RB, which is a huge plus. My source in Ames tells me the complicated run blitz schemes used by Rutgers has been viewed and worked out on film, and James return at 100% is going to be a huge plus at RB for ISU and the way the run the ball. Rutgers is playing 2 headed QB monster coming in here and while their record is better, ISU is a team who knocked off Okie State, pounded Texas Tech on the road and competed in every game against good teams all year with few exceptions. All in all I like the team who has faced more battles in an evenly matched game from a bigger conference. ISU has more team speed that Rutgers which is also key, and Rutgers has RB issues with injury.
