The Baylor Bears have been one of the most hyped teams since the end of the regular season. As a result, they come into the Alamo Bowl way overvalued because the betting public is all over them due to the hype. They had a great year, don't get me wrong, but they cannot live up to these expectations tonight.

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III is a heck of a player and deservedly won the Heisman Trophy. But it has been proven that in year's past Heisman Trophy winners don't perform very well in bowl games, and as a result their teams suffer. I don't believe he will handle the hype very well, either.

Baylor is an up-and-down type of team that has the potential to beat some of the very best teams in the country, but they can also lose to some of the worst. Proof of that is when Baylor nearly lost at Kansas, but erased a 20-point deficit to come back and win 31-30 in overtime. This team should not be laying double-digits to underrated Washington.

The Huskies have the type of offense that can keep up with the Bears. Washington scores 31.5 points/game this season behind 392.3 total yards/game. They rush for 152 and throw for 240 on average in a balanced attack. This offense should be able to do whatever it wants against a Baylor defense that ranks 110th in the country in yards allowed (478.3/game).

The Huskies are a perfect 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games when playing with at least two weeks of rest. Washington is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 bowl games as an underdog. The Huskies are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 bowl games. the Bears are 18-37 ATS in their last 55 games following a ATS win. Bet Washington Thursday.
